Summer Trees – Stage 3

Having established my tonal range, I added basic areas of colour, again with broad sideways energetic marks. These colours represented the darker hues in the composition as I progressed from dark to light. For this stage, and for the previous ones, I pressed lightly on the pastel as this would allow me to over pastel other colours and lighter tones. Remember, work from dark to light and soft to heavy.
