Following a professional career as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator (with over 25 years working for many blue chip clients and household names), the demand for Roberts work grew. As such he decided to pursue his fine art career in 2013 full time and many prestigious awards and sell out exhibitions soon followed.

Robert is also a highly respected art tutor with a great following and teaches very popular residential art weeks and short breaks at independently run art centres in The Lake District and North Norfolk.

His expressive style of work has created a really great following amongst buyers and collectors for his unique style and his popular independently run studio and outdoor North Yorkshire workshops (to Include National Trust Nunnington Hall and Yorkshire Lavender) are always sell outs..

He regularly teaches online for  art societies and for ‘The Artist’ magazine for whom he writes regular articles for  and has inspired artists for over 25 years with his enthusiastic and informative content.

Robert is also a leading Ambassador for ‘Derwent’ Art Materials in Cumbria, a UK Ambassador for ‘Nitram Charcoal’ (From Canada) and an Associate Artist also for Unison Colour’ pastels from Northumberland.

He regularly exhibits his paintings in many prestigious national art galleries to include the ‘The Mall Galleries’ in London with ‘The Pastel Society’, ‘Artworld’ Fine Art Trade Show in Frankfurt, and several other prestigious Fine Art events.
