Depicting three dimensions on a two dimension surface

I am digressing in order to look at how one can manipulate an image to depict depth and space. A number of devices are available:-

  • linear perspective
  • foreshortening
  • relative scale
  • overlapping
  • aerial perspective (tone and colour)
  • angle of view
