Introduction

This 12 month pastel course is designed to stimulate an exploration of everyday objects from life rather than using photographic references. This will encourage you to be expressive with your mark making leading to exciting work full of energy. You will be developing your observation skills and confidence handling your pastels which will inspire you to find challenging subjects around you rather than reaching for your photos.

Set of pastels.

These are the set of colours which I shall be using throughout the year but of course you can use your own selection if you prefer. In preparation for this 12 month course there is an introductory video to watch along with a video guide to making your colour chart and breaking your pastels.
