I choose my initial palette by printing the photo reference then holding the pastel pencils and sticks next to the colours. Remember that when you start a painting your palette is your best guess and it’s okay to switch colours in / out of your palette.

Remember that it’s okay to have different colours than I’m using and it’s okay if you have a different stick and pencil sets.

Unison Colour Soft Pastels, Pastel Pencils

Unison White AND Any hard stick white like Faber Castell or Caran D’ache. Conte A Paris or Nupastel. Hard sticks are usually long and thin.
