Autumn is a riot of colour and these lovely leaves are beautifully set off by the vivid blue background. I have painted this piece on burgundy pastelmat, 35cm x 35cm. It is not essential that you have exactly the same colour paper to begin with, but I would recommend a warmer, mid tone if possible.
I have used a lot of colours in this piece, including an additional few pastel pencils in dark brown and dark blue. The demo is split into 4 sections, around 30 mins each, so make take your time with this one and enjoy the process of building colour.
