Materials
The paper I used was Clairefontaine 96010C Pastelmat Sheets, 50x70cm, 360g, White and a variety of greens, lilacs, blue/purple and one or two dark Unison Colour pastels.
Tips
- Work quickly and intuitively without overthinking.
- Lay the colours down as you think of them and don’t blend too much.
- Put larger areas of colour down first and then finish off with the smaller detailed marks on top.
- Try to create a variety of different marks and use the pastels on their edges and the tips. You can use small shards of broken pastel to make the thinner marks for contrast.
